Write Me Poems Then Die
Wtf is hook up culture? write me poems then die in a war
Two young women sit at a table writing while surrounded by papers, pencils, and drinks. The joke romantically rejects casual hookup culture in favor of an absurdly dramatic fantasy of receiving poetry from someone who then dies in war. It is used as an ironic reaction to express a preference for intense, tragic romance over casual dating.
