The Program Says BALLS
We have a rule at my company. No one is allowed to make a program that prints out “BALLS”. Not even in a debug build. Never again. spill PLEASE The second time (believe it or not unrelated to the first) that a customer called at 2am and told us “it says BALLS and then exits?” A rules was made.
A Twitter thread describes a company banning programs that print “BALLS” after customers repeatedly encountered the message. The joke is the absurdly specific rule and the desperate reply asking someone to spill the story, turning a minor software bug into workplace lore.
