GeForce NOW Windows Desktop Workaround

Modders have found a way to access a full Windows desktop through NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW cloud gaming service. The workaround uses a game called Trove and takes advantage of access available through its Steam session. Once working, users can see the Windows desktop, taskbar and icons, and even launch other programs. One demonstration showed LM Studio running an AI model on the GeForce NOW machine.

A screenshot describes modders accessing a full Windows desktop through NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW by launching the game Trove via Steam. The joke is the absurd workaround: a cloud gaming service is being used as a remote Windows computer, even running LM Studio and an AI model. It is shared as a reaction to clever exploits, unexpected software hacks, or turning a restricted service into something far more powerful.
