WebP Inventor Reads the Insult
mr. “just joined a new forum” I hope the inventor of the WebP image format gets hit by a bus. I invented the lossless WebP format in 2011.
A dark-mode social media screenshot shows someone wishing harm on the inventor of WebP, followed by a reply from Jyrki Alakuijala claiming he invented the lossless format. The joke comes from the inventor unexpectedly seeing and responding to the insult. It is used as a reaction to embarrassing complaints that reach the exact person being criticized.
