Steven Universe Villains Are Misunderstood
steven universe villains: NOOOOO WERE NOT EVIL WE'RE JUST SAD AND MISUNDERSTOOD adventure time villains: You are alone, child. There is only darkness for you, and only death for your people. These ancients are just the beginning. I will command a great and terrible army, and we will sail to a billion worlds. We will sail until every light has been extinguished. You are strong, child, but I am beyond strength. I am the end, and I have come for you, Finn.
A split-panel meme compares villains from Steven Universe with villains from Adventure Time. The Steven Universe villains dramatically insist that they are merely sad and misunderstood, while the Adventure Time villain delivers a terrifying monologue about darkness, death, and destroying worlds. It jokes about the radically different tone and threat level of the two shows’ antagonists, and is used as a reaction to overly sympathetic villains versus genuinely apocalyptic ones.
