When Europeans Call It 11/09
When Europeans call it 11/09
Two airplanes are shown flying toward the World Trade Center towers in New York City, referencing the September 11 attacks. The joke comes from the difference between American and European date formats: 9/11 in the United States becomes 11/09 in Europe, making the caption look like a literal description of the planes striking the towers. It is used as a dark-humor reaction to date-format confusion. EN: Two airplanes are shown flying toward the World Trade Center towers in New York City, referencing the September 11 attacks.
