New York Mandela Effect

New Mandela effect just dropped I swear New York used to have these two big buildings that looked alike

A social media post jokes that New York once had two identical skyscrapers, referring to the World Trade Center Twin Towers and the Mandela effect. The punchline is darkly absurd because the towers were destroyed in the September 11 attacks, so the post pretends their absence is a false collective memory. It is used as a dark-humor reaction to an obvious but unsettling change or mistaken memory.
