The Printer Network Loop
I was installing a printer into an office and couldn't figure out why it wasn't getting an IP address. There were 2 drops in the office. So I decided to pop the plate off and this is what I found.
A person removes a wall plate and finds two blue Ethernet cables connected in a bizarre loop through the outlet. The joke is that the office’s network drops were incorrectly wired together, explaining why the printer could not obtain an IP address.
