Pepe Avoids Writing Tests
“so you spend 4 story points a week on patching bugs?” “yes, dave” “just to avoid spending 0.5 story points on writing tests?” “that’s correct, dave”
A Pepe the Frog character sits at a talk-show desk wearing headphones and a microphone. The joke mocks developers who spend far more effort fixing bugs than they would have spent writing tests, treating this inefficient choice as deliberate and obvious. It is used as a sarcastic reaction to poor engineering priorities and avoiding testing.
