Overcomplicated Internet Setup
I have 3 wireless adapters on my machine, + a LAN cable providing internet access. Now usually, I use Connectify to make a hot spot with one of my wireless adapters so my mobile devices can use it without directly connecting to my router. Now, here's what I did: 1. Created a local VPN with wireless #2 and bridged it with the LAN. 2. Created a loopback server that loops back my Virtual Machine's WIRTUAL wireless adapter to REAL adaptor #3. 3. Created a second bridging VPN that links REAL3 adapter #3 to REAL adapter #2. 4. Added VIRTUAL adapter #2 to REAL adapter #3. 5. Created two more VPN's from my second bridging, and created another to bounce traffic from REAL adapter #2 to #3 6. Set up routing tables on all 3 machines to ping ping track back and forth. 7. Wrote a java program to pass traffic virtual machine vs socket, but ONLY if (ping through my socket). Now, what does this mean? It means that traffic going through my open socket connection is going through 3x2 = 9 bridging VPNs and is being ping ponged 3x3x2 = 27 times between 6 adapters and each packet will only be sent and received 50% of the time. Why would I go through all this work to do this? Because so much fun... and this is what I'm basically doing while playing League of Legends. I salute you OP. You're doing god's work, Anon. This is mainly better than putting a password. I love you, OP. I love you, OP. This thread made my morning. Do you have anything else planned in order to fuck with this kid further? I know his older brother, who I'm on real good terms with. So here's the thing, right? This kid is a brat. He just entered high school, and he's like the biggest brat ever. A couple of weeks ago, his brother (my friend) tells his kid his laptop for a science project. The kid went in there; logged on to his brother's amazon acct, and bought a bunch of shit with his HIS CREDIT CARD lololololol. So that's why his internet access has been revoked, and that's why he's looking for other people's internet to bum off.
EN: This is a forum thread screenshot in which the original poster describes an absurdly complicated setup involving VPNs, network adapters, a virtual machine, and routing to bypass an internet restriction. Replies praise him for doing “God’s work,” and another post explains that the teenager lost internet access after using his brother’s credit card to buy things. The meme is used as a reaction to an excessively complicated, technically inventive, or ridiculous solution to an everyday problem.
