European Time Lightbulb Moment
i figured out how European time works and it was like a lightbulb went off in my brain for my whole life i have read military/european time by just subtracting 2 and erasing the 1. for example 14:30 - 2:30. do yall get what i mean? i hope lol. i never knew how it ACTUALLY worked i just figured that out when i was a kid. all of a sudden i realized how it actually works- american clocks go from 12 AM to 12 PM, then restarts. european time just continues on. after 12 pm instead of switching to 1 PM they switch to 13:00 until it goes all the way up to the full 24 hour day! lol i figured this out mysslf and just wanted to share my lightbulb moment
A Reddit user excitedly explains their mistaken understanding of the 24-hour clock, believing European time was converted by subtracting 2 and removing the 1. The joke is that they only recently realized 13:00, 14:00, and other times are simply a continuous clock system rather than a strange conversion trick. It is shared as a self-deprecating reaction to having an obvious realization very late.
