Whistleblowers Before the Trial
Major whistleblowers the day before a trial that would lead to devastating consequences for government backed businesses
A man in a hotel suddenly bursts out of an elevator and runs through the building with exaggerated urgency while Fatboy Slim’s upbeat electro-funk track “Weapon of Choice” plays. The joke compares whistleblowers fleeing before exposing government-backed businesses to Christopher Walken’s famously carefree dancing in the song’s music video, making the serious situation absurdly energetic. It is used as a reaction to someone escaping before consequences catch up with them.
