Packages to the Black Market
We always include a few flowered scarves in our packages to Poland. Some are sold on the Black Market. what do you mean you always include them and on what black market? We send packages of clothing & some food items like Ramen noodles. Cousins sell some of the items.
A social media comment thread discusses sending flowered scarves and other goods in packages to Poland. The joke comes from the misunderstanding of “Black Market”: one commenter thinks it means an illegal market, while the reply means relatives resell some of the items. It is used as a reaction to an awkward or unintentionally suspicious misunderstanding.
