Poland Before It Gets Occupied Again
Professor asked us why we chose Poland for exchange study 老師問我們每個人選擇來這里交換的理由 🇵🇱 Before I answer, I asked for her assurance that she would not get angry over my honest answer, and she did. She thought I was going to say life expense - Poland is cheap. My answer is, Poland was occupied in history for 3 times when the world started to fight. Even during cold war, Poland was close to disappearing. Considering today's world situation, I want to visit Poland, this beautiful country before it gets occupied once again. Right after my answer, I can see our professor's face darkened. I seriously think I said something wrong. What now? This is my real thought. She was the one asking for honest answer and she said she wouldn't get angry about it. I apologized right away but she didn't accept. What should I do now? 😭😭 😭😭 I am screwed. #值得一去的 #喜欢的地方 #看着这个世界 #找来这里只办一件事 #波兰留学 #波兰生活
A student explains that they chose Poland for exchange study because the country has repeatedly been occupied or nearly disappeared during major conflicts. The professor expected a harmless answer about Poland being cheap, but becomes angry at the student’s brutally morbid honesty. It is used as a reaction to dark humor, awkward oversharing, or saying something technically honest but socially inappropriate.
