2174 Ocean Pirate Crew

POV: It is 2174 and the Earth's oceans have engulfed all land, causing the Human race to resort to old-timey ships, full of crews who sing the only songs they remember from the days of land.

In 2174, Earth is completely flooded, and a crew sails across the ocean on an old-fashioned ship while presumably singing ancient songs remembered from the days when land still existed. The joke combines a dramatic post-apocalyptic future with the absurd image of people reverting to pirate-era sailing and old-timey songs. It is used as a reaction to nostalgia, an imagined flooded future, or melodramatic absurdity.
