Meaningful Git Commit Message
BOB, ALL YOUR COMMIT MESSAGES SAY “SMALL CHANGES”! NEXT TIME, PLEASE WRITE A MEANINGFUL MESSAGE MEANINGFUL MESSAGE... GIT COMMIT -M "WHAT IS LIFE IF FULL OF CARE, IF WE HAVE NO TIME TO STAND AND STARE..."
A simple four-panel comic shows one stick figure criticizing Bob for using “small changes” as every commit message. Bob then writes an absurdly elaborate, poetic commit message quoting “What is life if, full of care,” turning a request for meaningful detail into overkill. It is used as a reaction to overly verbose explanations or exaggeratedly formal commit messages.
