What it means

A prospect asks whether a collaboration feature can be built, and the engineer honestly says it will take months. The sales person promises the prospect three weeks anyway, then silences the engineer when he tries to correct the timeline. It is a workplace joke about sales overpromising and engineering having to deal with unrealistic deadlines.
