Twenty Years of Experience
I got laid off and been searching since basically 2021. At the end of my rope. As a software engineer? With how much experience? 20 years I feel like a wet fart in a hurricane Oof ageism in tech is a huge thing. I’m sorry to hear that. I'm 34.
A screenshot of a Reddit-style comment thread about a software engineer who says they have 20 years of experience but are only 34. The joke is that the commenter started working extremely young, making the ageism response hilariously misplaced and highlighting absurd assumptions in tech hiring.
