Ex-FAANG Engineers Sell the Dream
Ex-FAANG engineers: FAANG is overrated. Also ex-FAANG engineers: Buy my course on how to get into FAANG, because this ubiquitous marketing isn't going to pay for itself. At this rate, I look forward to the year 2032, when a majority of software engineers have worked for at least one FAANG, and the meta has evolved to, "How to boomerang back into FAANG as an ex-FAANG engineer (presented by ex-FAANG engineers)."
A text-only joke about former FAANG engineers—employees of major technology companies—claiming that FAANG is overrated while selling courses about getting hired there. The punchline imagines a future where everyone has worked at a FAANG company and ex-employees sell courses on returning, mocking tech career marketing and self-referential hustle culture.
